MSL in Privacy, Artificial Intelligence, and Technology Law

MSL candidates concentrating in Privacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Technology (PAT) Law must complete 24 credit hours of instruction, including:
- 3 credit hours of Introduction to US Law and Legal Writing for MSL Students (6950)
- A total of at least 12 credit hours in classes focusing on PAT Law, including one or both of the concentration's foundational classes:
- Information Privacy Law (6486) or
- The three-credit version of Artificial Intelligence Law and Policy (6881)
The remaining 9 credit hours may be taken in courses focusing on PAT Law or in any other course offered by the law school that is open to MSL students.
Students may complete the degree online or in a hybrid format consisting of some in-person and some online classes. Note that certain classes are only available in one format (i.e., online only or in-person only), and class format may vary by semester.
